So you're not able to meet your goals because you're quote on quote "too lazy"?
Well, laziness isn't what's stopping you. Fear is the cog in the flow of your motivation machine. Fear holds you back. Laziness gives you purpose and direction by telling you precisely what you don't enjoy doing, allowing you to narrow down your focus on things you do. Don't point at Laziness as a scapegoat for your insecurities and inability to get things done. (Remember, ProcrastiN8rs get things done last minute, but damnit, it gets done!) Let's dive into the root of the problem: Fear. Please Scoob, let's go back to sleep! One of the most common critiques I get from my haters and skeptics is: You’re NOT lazy. “You produce a podcast, write a blog, research into stocks, crypto, and HYIPs to invest in, test money-making apps on your phone, perform SEO, tackle ocial media marketing. That’s not being lazy. A real lazy person wouldn’t do any of that work.” To that I say this: I'm lazy as fuck. I'm just not afraid to move forward, no matter how slowly. I take my time and do what I want, when I want. I always take the easy way out and don’t put more effort into tasks than absolutely necessary. I do just enough to get by. I find ways to monetize doing things I like or find very simple to do. I’m not working hard. I’m hardly working. I’m building a lifestyle that gives me freedom and plenty of leisure. Saying I’m not lazy is like saying a sloth isn’t lazy because he climbs a fucking tree. Climbing that tree is so much work. Look, the sloth is lazy not because he doesn’t do anything but he just just enough to get by and does it when he feels like it, taking his slow ass time to get there. But he does, eventually. Laziness is good in moderation and there’s a fine line between being lazy and just being a complete waste. It is a super power that one must control rather than letting it control you. Things must be...perfectly balanced. Just don't go about destroying half the universe. If you don’t want to do the things I suggest to make money online, if you find sitting on the couch or in front of your computer in PJs and doing a minuscule amount of effort “too much work” well I got some news for ya: You're not lazy. Absolutely not. You're just afraid. You’re afraid of failure. You’re not being the sloth. You’re being the scaredy cat or dramatic hamster. And quite frankly, that makes your mind work a lot harder, drains your emotional resources a lot faster, and get you absolutely no where compared to moving towards goals at a slow n’ steady pace. Being afraid is anxiety. It's high tension, nerves on edge. Alertness. Awakeness. It requires an active mind. Laziness is about calmness and relaxed nerves. Cool and composed confidence. You can only make progress if you get passed the fear. The fear of doing something wrong. The fear of making mistakes. The fear of failure. A sloth could fall off the tree but that doesn’t stop him from climbing up and hanging. If you're lazy, I mean truly lazy at the very core of its definition, you're so calm that you're not even fazed by the possibility of messing things up. You don't fear a goddamn thing. You just don’t care. Mistakes are Meh. They don't matter. If things go wrong, and they will sometimes, you let it slide because it's no big deal. Whatever, roll over on the couch and sleep in a different position if you get uncomfortable, so to speak. When you make a big deal about things, you have a hard-working mindset. Not a lazy mindset. Sometimes you have to accept a bit of spilled milk. Sometimes you just have to accept getting tapped in the back of the head by a newspaper, instead of rolling on the floor in quote on quote "pain" like you're dying (see video below) Making a a big deal about things requires BIG effort and produces little results, which is why you shouldn’t worry. You're not lazy if you're getting worked up over anything. That's by very definition "work". You’re pouring your heart and soul into being on the look out for danger or you're making a big dramatic scene out of something uneventful. You're enacting the fight or flee instinct by running away from facing your problems and the possibility of failure, or screaming for protection. They call it getting worked up because you're putting blood, sweat, and tears into embracing a negative emotion and letting it consume you. You're being consumed by your active primal mind, struggling for survival. Here's the thing: in the modern world, you are not, I repeat: NOT struggling for survival. Despite all hard wired instincts in your brain shouting at you otherwise and triggering a sense of fear, you are absolutely NOT going to die if you try to better your life, relationships, or career. Shut the aggressively alert mind off and turn on the passively smart mind. Nowadays, you are (or very well should be if you call yourself lazy) nonchalantly and ever so casually growing to reach your full potential with small, deliberate steps that gradually help you build as a person. Though life can be stressful and hectic, most situations in your daily life don't have instant death as a consequence of making the wrong move or decision. The consequences of failure to meet a goal or making the wrong choice are nothing that will kill you, unless if your goal is to hunt a wild bear or sky dive or something but I digress. Also, don't cause drama by getting all worked up. Again, instincts are kicking in saying "if I panic, other people will protect me. from predators." You don't need a group to survive, but those social instincts are heavily ingrained in our brains. You may FEEL anxiety but KNOW this: You are not going to die, so relax. Actually BE lazy. Control your instinct. Become lazy. Embrace a passive, lazy mindset and dump the active and overly alert one. You don't need that to survive anymore like our ancestors. Calm, rational thought, laziness is evolution. It's time to evolve beyond the primal reptile brain and move slowly and thoughtfully towards goals, despite consequences with the lazy mindset. Remember this: the amount of effort involved in worrying about failure is substantially a larger amount of mental energy depletion, emotional drain, and physical exhaustion than moving forward slowly and steadily towards where you want to be. With the Lazy Mindset, you'll get where you want to. Eventually. Heck, even if you decide to just lay down all day and do nothing, not move at all, at least embrace it and stop fearing the consequences of lounging out. You have to recognize when you don’t want to do something out of laziness versus when you don’t want to do something out of fear If you don’t want to do something out of laziness then you just simply don’t want to do it and choose not to; however, on the other hand, if you don’t want to do something out of fear, then you literally feel like you can’t do it. You feel immobilized. It comes down to Purposeful Procrastination versus Impulsive Idleness. Laziness must be used in a deliberate way, instead of a sporadic one. And on that note, Take it easy, Take it reeeaaal easy, Nate
