It's Okay to be Lazy, Just not EXTREMELY Lazy

I’m not a particularly religious person, but one of the 7 “deadly sins” that leads you to burn in an eternal cave of infernal torture is “sloth.”

Interestingly, each of the 7 deadly sins, on its surface really isn’t a bad thing on its own. It’s when it reaches an extreme level that it becomes “deadly”.

Pride - it’s good to be proud of yourself and your own accomplishments.
It’s deadly to be so full of yourself that you can’t have any sort of compassion or care for a single other human being.

Avarice - it’s good to desire wealth and fortune in order to stir a healthy economy, but it’s excessive to be so greedy that others suffer from lack of resources due to a monopoly.

Wrath - it’s good to be aggressive, to stand up for yourself, and to say what you mean without the fear of rejection. It’s bad to be unhinged and demanding while making others fear your anger.

Lust - it’s good to embrace your sexual desires and create a pleasurable experience for you and your partner(s). It’s bad to lose control of sexual impulses and force yourself onto someone without consent.

Envy - it’s good to want the possessions and abilities of others so you can strive to improve yourself. It’s bad to obsess over what another person has and to wish ill upon them, and even go as far as trying to make that person’s life miserable.

Gluttony - it’s good to eat. Ya gotta eat. It’s bad to stuff your face to the point where you are no longer a human being and are literally just flubber. Food can be an addiction.

Sloth - it’s good to be lazy and find easy ways to do things.  It’s bad to sit on your ass and do absolutely nothing, making no progress towards your goals.

See, sloth, or laziness, like all the other deadly sins, is actually a positive thing at its core. Using it appropriately and within moderation is an art, a finesse if you will.

I am teaching you to adapt laziness, to embrace sloth, and to become a procrastinator. But it is absolutely imperative that you avoid becoming a complete bum.

It is all about balance.

When people say to not be lazy and not procrastinate, what they really mean is don’t do it to an extreme level, to the point that procrastinating and laziness becomes more of a harmful indulgence rather than a strategic work ethic.

Being lazy means finding an easy and efficient way to do complicated tasks. It means getting the most “bang for your buck”. When the procrastinator makes and investment with his time or his money, he wants to get the biggest return possible.

Being lazy does NOT mean doing absolutely nothing and expecting some sort of result to happen. Rather,  it means putting in the least amount of effort and yielding the most results. It is following the Law of Least Effort, something which I will detail in a later blog.

I know. I promise I will also teach you the online money making and investing strategies but again I cannot stress how utterly important it is to adopt the Lazy Mindset before I dive into anything technical.

A person can learn scales, notes, and chords on an instrument, they are never truly a successful musician until they have the soul, until they actually feel the passion for music and have the mental creativity and imagination to explore the world of sound. Learning musical theory and playing an instrument without adopting the right mindset makes the person more of a boring technician than a soulful and talented  musician.

Likewise, knowing online money making methods makes you nothing more than a machine-like technician. You want to be a real procrastinator. Part of that is knowing when you’re being lazy and when you’re just being plain stupid.

Avoid the extremes and don’t miss me too much until my next blog.
