You lack a good work ethic. You procrastinate and put things off until the last minute. You don't like to go out of your way to help others. You hate spending time on things that you feel obligated or forced to do and would rather do whatever you want. And for all intents and purposes, you are lazy. You are a ProcrastiN8r, like me. You might have tried to work hard and really haven't reaped much benefits from it compared to the benefits and pleasure you have gotten from slacking off. Maybe you studied for years to earn a college degree, and now you're working in a job completely irrelevant to your field just to earn enough cash flow to make minimum payments on your monstrous student loan debt. Maybe you've been slaving away at your 9-5 job for years and retirement seems decades away, if even possible at all. Maybe you're putting in all these hours at your job and you're still living pay check to pay check. It seems you only work to survive and the only time you actually feel like you're living and not just existing is when you're procrastinating -- putting off things you have to do in order to do the things you want to do. You've been told that in order to be successful you must change your personality at a basic level. You must become hardworking. You must become motivated. You must become diligent and prompt. Well, you've been lied to. You've been lied to by the Masters that want to keep you down as a slave. Masters who have designed a social system that shames you for your laziness. Masters who let other people do the hard work for them. You should only change if you want to please your Masters, but if you want freedom, you will instead embrace your lazy nature. Face it: if hard work was the key to success then landscapers and roofers would be the richest people on the planet. That's not the case. The richest people on the planet never get their hands dirty (well maybe figuratively but not literally) nor do they do any of the heavy lifting. The richest people on the planet are sitting in the sun on a private island, sipping margaritas and smoking cigars, while their "hardworking" employees bust their ass day in and day out to earn maybe two weeks of leisure/vacation time at best. The richest people on the planet are lazy. You've been socially, mentally, and emotionally conditioned to be a corporate slave. You've been trained to work hard for other people with power. You must free yourself. You must, contrary to popular belief, embrace your laziness, fully and completely. You already know you're lazy, but you are like a superhero who just discovered their powers. You need the training and guidance to harness your power and reach your full potential. You must control your laziness, not avoid it altogether.
That is where the L.A.Z.Y. Mindset comes in. L.A.Z.Y. is an acronym for a mindset geared toward success. Rather than most self help books geared toward success that focus on being a persistent, tireless, determined worker who never quits, the L.A.Z.Y. Mindset focuses on limiting the amount of work you do while earning the largest amount of progress and achieving the greatest, most impactful, outcome, and quitting when things really aren't going anywhere. Granted, you will succeed if you follow the advice of those who preach the"work hard" mantra . You will succeed in becoming a hard-working, very productive slave. But you want freedom. This e-book is your first step to freedom as a PROcrastin8r.
