How to earn money writing app reviews on ApperWall

Here it is ladies and gentlemen. I promised you a while ago that I would begin showing you some of the effective yet borderline unethical and certainly lazy methods of online money making. Much, much later, I have come to begin to fulfill that promise.

They don't call me the ProcrastiN8r for nothing.

Today, I'm going to introduce to you a little site called ApperWall.

Amazon, the Play Store, Apple Store, and online shops all over the Interwebs have fake reviews, either written and posted by bots or written by humans in mass quantities then posted by fake accounts.

Either way, it's something to keep your eye out for because that 5 star toaster you've been looking at may be prone to catch electrical fires or guaranteed to have only two settings of toasting: burnt and raw ass bread.

(I actually recommend reading the 1 star reviews in any app/product. That way you can see what's wrong with it. 3 star reviews are the next best because they provide a balanced, unbias perspective of the product. Anyway, I digress.)

Let's cut to the chase. Let's start writing those fake/paid reviews you see everywhere to make money!

THE BASICS

Basically, you sign up
either with an e-mail address or your social media of choice, go to the Offers page, then click on an app to review from the list.

A minimum of 50 characters is required to be written for each review (which is about one or two sentences, depending on the length/complexity of said sentence)

You can then write up to 10 reviews for each app. The reviews you write are anonymous and posted on your behalf by some fake account or bot, in most cases, but I'll get to that.

Each review is then checked manually. You get paid if and when they are approved, so you earn about 7 cents per review.

You accumulate an account balance which can be cashed out with a minimum of $1.50 (no fees) to your PayPal account. The cash out minimum is very low and you can easily hit it

Now to make this most effective, you don't actually have to download the app, at least in most cases, but again, I'll get to that.

TIPS ON WRITING REVIEWS THAT GET APPROVED
Note here, that these are not official website rules. It's just based on my personal experience in writing reviews and getting them approved/rejected.

1) Be short but concise. And be extremely positive.

If you spend more than about two minutes writing a single review, you're thinking too much. Go for the "elevator pitch". If you were telling your friend about this app/game and wanted to convince them to download it, what would you say?

You're not going for a full IGN review here. Just nice and simple, enough to make someone want to purchase/download it.

Make the review absolutely incredibly stunning and glowing. Use rich vocabulary and vivid imagery. Embellish. Exaggerate a bit.

2) Mention at least one major feature about the game/app.

Look at the screenshots, read the description, and view other reviews (if there are any) to get a sense of what the game is about. I'll say it again: No need to actually download

Are the puzzles fun? Do the graphics look cool? Does it have compelling RPG elements? Is the interface easy to use? How do the colors look? What stands out about the game/app to you?

If the screenshots are just photo stock and description and already written reviews are really vague or unclear, you may have to actually download it and play it for a couple minutes.

Just fiddle around with it until you get the "gist" of it.

3) Don't try to make up personal stories.

I remember I wrote a review for trucking app and said something about how it's really helpful "as a truck driver" blahblahblah and got rejected.

Use third or second person. Only use first person if you're writing about something everyone or most people do (eg. I can't put it down! It's so addicting)

Don't use first person and make up a personal story or occupation.

4) Use exclamation points, CAPS to highlight a point, Internet lingo lol, and smileys! :)  BUT DON'T GO OVERBOARD!!!! :D

I tend to get a higher approval when I throw in a smiley or two or make witty puns about the game/app and put in an "lol".

Too many though and it's just annoying and unreadable. Keep it neat, but attractive, like a little extra dash of cinnamon on the Pumpkin Pie. Don't totally engulf it in cinnamon for God's sake!

5) Use the same words but differently.

That's right, use a thesaurus. There's one online that's quite useful.

Avoid vague/generic adjectives like "very" and "really"

6) Do NOT mention other apps.

Don't compare an app to an already existing, similar, and more popular app.

If it's a dating app, don't mention Tinder.

If it's a movie app, don't mention Netflix.

If it's a physics game, don't mention Angry Birds.

You get the idea.

Make the game/app sound good in its own right, without any sort of comparison.

You can mention "other apps" as a generic term but don't name it specifically. Refer to it, but don't call it out by name

That's pretty much it. You kind of get a "feel" for what they're looking for and the type of writing style that gets approved.

BOOST YOUR EARNINGS PERMANENTLY

In order to maximize your earnings, you can perform certain actions that boost your total earnings by a specific percentage.

I highly recommend logging in every single day. Even if you don't feel like writing any reviews. This gives you a solid extra 5% once you hit a 7 day streak, but once you miss a day, you lose the bonus. It doesn't sound like much, but that 5 cents you earn extra per dollar adds up, so log in to keep that bonus. You don't have to write a review to maintain your streak.

The other thing to do is to set up a Telegram bot. There's a very good tutorial on the website itself that walks you through it, so I won't detail it here. Essentially you download a free messenger app and add the bot then send it a certain message to link it to your Apper Wall account.. You can uninstall the Telegram app once your account is confirmed to have the bot added.

You can also earn a 10% bonus for referring 3 or more "active" referrals. To be active, they only need to cash out once ever. Once they cash out, they are considered "active" permanently.
Additionally, you can earn some commission three levels deep from your referrals.

The final way to earn a permanent boost your earnings is to do "5 rate offers". I'll detail how to do this in the next little section below.

REVIEWING FROM YOUR PHONE

Most offers can be done from your computer laptop/desktop.

Some offers, though, are ONLY available from a specific type of phone. These are called "rate offers".

This means you have to use your own personal (or fake) Google account or Apple ID to write a review and post it yourself on the appropriate store.

You also need either an Android or Apple phone, respectively

You MUST download it from the appropriate type of phone and run it for a few minutes. The ApperWall website doesn't specify how long, but between 5-10 minutes should be good.

After that, write a 5 star glowing review then copy/paste the original review you wrote into the website form using the browser ON YOUR PHONE.

You cannot do any of these actions from a desktop.

CONCLUSION

There are many other get paid to write review apps out there, but this one has a solid reputation of making payments.

The pay rate is mediocre at best. But it's easy work, if you want to even call it that. You're getting paid to describe apps in a positive and fancy way.

Oh and one last thing to consider before we wrap this up:
By participating in Apper Wall you're basically adding to the Internet's rapidly growing influx of fake reviews. Take that for what it's worth. If that bothers you, don't participate. Otherwise, go start making some moola online!

There are other sites/apps that pay you simply for downloading apps (with no need to write about them).

I'll mention some of my favorites in a future blog post. When I feel like it.

In the mean time, go join ApperWall!
